1. Surface preparation: Remove all old sealant and thoroughly clean the area. Ensure surfaces are dry, dust-free, and free from soap or grease.
2. Masking: Apply masking tape to both sides of the joint for a sharp finish.
3. Prepare cartridge: Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle to your desired bead size.
4. Apply the silicone: Use a steady, consistent pressure with a sealant gun to create an even bead.
5. Tool the joint: Smooth immediately using a jointing tool or gloved finger dipped in soapy water.
6. Curing: Skins in 10–15 minutes depending on conditions; allow 24 hours before exposing to water.
7. Finish: Remove masking tape while the sealant is still wet.
